Hi All, As Discussed in Today’s KanchiLUG Weekly discussion regarding Map-A-Thon.

I had a call with KAMAL from FSHM pondicherry to get some experience from them, since they often perform Map-A-Thon.

Points,

  1. Initially Co-ordinators should try mapping for some areas together. To get insights on using the app.
  2. Mobile app’s suggested - EveryDoor , StreetComplete
  3. Set a theme. Are we going to mark streets only or street lights or Buildings.
  4. Minimum time for map-a-thon is 2hr’s. In that first 15 to 30 min, give details about OSM and mappings. People can go in groups or individual and perform mapping. After a given time, group together and have a small review session. Then Tea Bajji :slight_smile:
