Iam going to install linux mint in lap how to back up thunderbird mails
in your home folder, there will be a hidden folder called
.thunderbird
just copy that folder in to a external hard drive.
After installing new OS, just copy the same .thunderbird to your home folder again.
It will restore all mails settings also (whole thunderbird)
