Need for co-ordinator for KanchiLUG

Hi all,

We need a new co-ordinator for KanchiLUG. Below are the roles and responsibilities of a co-ordinator

  1. Schedule weekly and monthly meets and send out their respective invites in mailing list, KanchiLUG blog and Tamil Linux community forum.
    (Note: we already have a python automation script for this, so it is just simple as executing a python script. Hardly takes 2 mins by the way)

  2. Regulate the meetings to keep the topics solely to Linux and open source. Proprietary talks are strictly prohibited.

  3. Engage the events with latest Linux and open source news and information.

  4. Introduce the speakers and co-ordinate with them during the talks.

  5. Collaborate with other open source communities like ILUGC and many more for conducting events like TossConf and all other similar events

  6. Ensure decisions are taken through poll and notified to community through meets or mailing list to be notified of the changes.

Hi Kanchilug Team,

I wish to start as Coordinator of Kanchi-LUG.

I’m still figuring out how to fully meet the expectations of the Kanchi-LUG coordinator, and I realize I need to build my skills in managing such an event. For now, I’ll start with the basics, like calling for speakers and sending out meeting invitations. Gradually, I plan to take on more responsibilities as I get more comfortable. Scheduling the talks in YouTube live and handling other details will require a bit more time, but I’m excited to learn and grow in this role!

I have no idea on it

I’ll try to make my self available this week evenings (8-9 PM) for a general discussion to clarify my doubts on the points mentioned in the mail. If time permits we can discuss otherwise 7 Dec,2024 (Sat) From evening 4 O’Clock i am available for the discussion.
