Proposal on Categories

Hi there, i have gone through the discuss. Many new comers from Tamil speaking and practising landscape, might have very basic problems for which categorisation will be helpful to refer anything in future discussions.

1. OS installation :

• distro selection/recommendation
• basic utilities selection/recommendation
• recommending stable releases to aid out of developer community usage

2. Language and Input :

• Language packs support in distribution (tamil, …)
• Keyboard support (ibus, keyman,etc…)
• Keyboard installation (tamil 99, etc…)
• Unicode support fonts (ila sundaram, Tau, …)

3. Server and System Administration :

• installation of specific services (links to documents)

etc… for now.
we can keep adding more categories… but it should happen with deliberation and reasoning. Moreover, categorization will be useful as guideline but not structuring. Obvious overlaps must be expected.

Showcase category என்று ஒன்று இருந்தால் நன்றாக இருக்கும். இப்பொழுது youtube போன்ற வலைத்தளங்களில் நிறைய linux customization முறைகள் மற்றும் அதன் end result பற்றிய பதிவுகள் நிறைய இருக்கிறது. இது போன்ற பதிவுகள் கீழ்கண்ட வழிகளில் பலன் தரும்.

1. linux என்றால் பார்க்க அழகாக இருக்காது என்ற தவறான எண்ணத்தை மாற்றவும்
2. linux மென்பொருள்களை நேர்த்தியான முறையில் செயல்படுத்தும் demo-களும்
3. linux மென்பொருட்கள் மற்ற OS மென்பொருள்களை விட அதிக customization option தருவதை கண்கூடாக பார்க்கவும் பயன் படும்.

உதாரணத்திற்கு என்னுடைய vim மற்றும் emacs org-mode screenshot-கலை கீலே இணைத்துள்ளேன்
