What problem does IRC bouncer solves ?

  • The main problem in IRC is that when we logout all the logs/message are lost
  • To mitigate this we connect to bouncers which will connect to the server on our behalf.
  • The user can connect to bouncer to check previous message and send new messages

What are the server hardware requirements?

I have a self hosted server running on my home.
We can use that.

or if it is light weight, we can host on the same server where TLC forum runs.

I heard it is lightweight only, but never run it personally. I will try to run locally in my laptop for few days. First we will try in our own local server/laptop then we can decide anna.
