TossConf2023 Prep Kickstart
At the general discussion of ILUGC monthly meet of August we kickstarted the TossConf2023 prep.

- The Name of the SFD event is finalized after getting different options from the attendees. The suggestions were TOSSConf2.0, TOSSConf2023, SF-Chennai-23, SFD23, SFD23-TN, SFChennux23
- After conducting a poll on this we finalized TossConf2023 as a community decision with highest votes.
- Generic outline of the SFD celebration were discussed to have one offline event with multiple online events.
- Some event ideas were brainstormed.
- Few volunteers were discussing about having a kubernetes and docker intro session.

- Parameshwar asked event ideas with the attendees, and attendees suggested some events like LinuxCTF, musical code.
- Hari suggested to have a online workshop as “Ideas to publishing” with content of how an idea is progressed to a publising and building a startup.
- FOSS United Chennai members Hari and Sakhil Ahmed volunteer for providing few physical venues they have using recently.
- Venue details and facilities were being discussed.
- Hari mentioned that he will confirm the venue in a week.
- We planned to have registration fee for the event so the same can be used for the food and snacks cost. And the cost of registration must be equal to the food and nothing more.
- Registration mode is actively discussed by all, mohan and shrini suggested to have the razor pay gateway like last year. FOSS United Chennai also volunteered to share their own payment recieving setup. Parameshwar suggested to go with simple google form with google pay UPI/Bank details.
- Kaniyam foundation bank account will be used if we go with razorpay or gpay just like last year. If we move with FOSS United chennai payment setup hari mentioend he have to discuss the possibility with his team.
- So payment methods is still in discussion…

- Shrini and mohan suggested to invite few more FOSS teams.
- Parameshwar sent out call for collaboration with Puduvai LUG.
- Parameshwar created forum topics for call for speakers for both online and offline event and also sent out call for speakers for technical stalls.

- Parameshwar explored Townscript, luma, zoho backstage, instamojo but only instamojo seems reasonable amount with convenience fee others are having limited payment systems/features or too high convenience fees.
- But Instamojo is online product selling platform not a ticket selling so event registration page and all we may manually need to create.
- Parameshwar will enquire about RazorPay and it’s convinence fee details.
- Parameshwar co-ordinated with Thanga Ayyanar over the phone post the prep meet. And thanga ayyanar will be conducting the creating music with code activity on the Sept 16 event.

- Everyone in the meeting suggested opinion on the food menu. Based on the inputs Kuraltravan and Parameshwar will talk to the food contractor.
- Gold ayan suggested to have some backup food like Bread and jam to offer some optional snack after food.
- Parameshwar showed the razor pay payment page structure preview and updated the page content as per suggestions from the team.
- Kalai Arasan mentioned he will bring some fellow students for online talks
- Kuraltravan and Achanandhi updated the talks and registrations on call for speakers.
- Ticket pass through feature while confirming the event two days prior to the event.

- Kalai arasan published his online talk details in call for speakers in tlc forum.
- Parameshwar tested Jitsi - Youtube live bridge with his personal youtube channel. Live worked fine. But there will be a limit on live stream duration with jitsi have to check more.
- Parameshwar and Kalai arasan discussed about the topic Kalai arasan is going to take on sep 03 which is gaming on linux.
- Event page and Payment page is planned to be set out live by tonight.
- Parameshwar will check for speakers to give talk on Sept 02 and give the person contact to kalai to schedule the talks and meets.
- Posters have to be designed soon and sent out. Target poster sent out day for sep 02 and sep 03 event is 29th aug 2023.
- Currently Hari and Parameshwar are the volunteers for poster design. If any other person are willing please reply in TLC thread of prep discussion.
