Comrade,If i use my linux mint for a long period of time (more than 4 hrs) on eclipse,firefox ,i can see my browser and eclipse got a little slower .At that time, if i shutdown my system means it gets struck displaying linux mint logo.If i use for a very less period of time means it wont get struck while shutdown.Kindly help me solving this problem.Iam using 64 bit linux mint cinnamon 20.3 .dual boot with windows 7.

I have tried the below commands and also i attached the screenshots.
My system is showing low memory.I have free space in other partition.I think may be that also may be a reason
your root partition doesn’t seem to have enough space to install a new OS. Have your tried formatting / partition if there isn’t anything important in it.

Kindly see the below screenshot . There is 79 GB unallocated but it was not showing in my linux. Initially i unallocate 100GB for linux but it takes only 19GB and remaining space was unallocated.
The root filesystem has to be primary partition not extended partition. If it is not a primary partition your best solution is to boot into a live USB and back all those files inside the previous partition and format the old partition after verifying the backup and try the installation again.

Is it possible to extend the size of file system partition 7 in extended partition?
Its 20GB. But in File system partition 6, 85GB space have.

Iam not able to delete 100MB (105 MB)unallocated space in windows. Delete option didn’t came. I shrink 102400 MB for linux as unallocated space in windows disk management but it’s showing 107375 MB here.
